General Information

Do I need an appointment or can I walk in?

We highly recommend booking an appointment to minimize waiting time. However, we do accept walk-in patients for emergencies and during standard OPD hours.

Do you offer Video Consultations?

Yes, Dr. Rahul Singh is available for video consultations for outstation and international patients. You can book a slot via WhatsApp or our website.

What are your clinic timings?

Monday to Saturday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Sundays are reserved for emergencies and prior appointments only.

Is parking available at the clinic?

Yes, we have ample parking space available for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers within the facility premises.

Kidney Stone Surgery (RIRS/Mini-PCNL)

Is RIRS surgery painful?

RIRS (Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery) is performed under anesthesia, so it is completely painless during the procedure. Post-surgery discomfort is minimal and manageable with basic medication.

Can kidney stones come back after surgery?

There is a chance of recurrence if dietary and lifestyle changes aren't made. We provide a detailed diet plan post-surgery to minimize this risk. Regular checkups are advised.

How long does the surgery take?

Most RIRS procedures take between 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the size and hardness of the stone. You are usually observed for a few hours and discharged the same day or next morning.

Will I have a DJ Stent placed?

In many cases, a temporary DJ Stent is placed to ensure proper urine flow and healing. It is a thin tube inside the ureter and is removed after 10-14 days in a simple 5-minute procedure.

Laser Prostate Surgery (HoLEP)

Why is HoLEP better than traditional TURP?

HoLEP offers less bleeding, shorter hospital stay (24 hours vs 3-4 days), removal of larger glands, and a lower recurrence rate compared to traditional TURP.

Is HoLEP safe for heart patients?

Yes, HoLEP is the gold standard for patients on blood thinners or with cardiac issues because the Holmium laser seals blood vessels instantly, resulting in near-zero blood loss.

Will surgery affect my sex life?

HoLEP generally preserves erectile function better than other methods. Some patients may experience retrograde ejaculation (dry climax), which is a common and harmless side effect of most prostate surgeries.

Insurance, TPA & Cost

Do you provide Cashless Treatment?

Yes, we are empanelled with all major TPAs including Star Health, HDFC Ergo, ICICI Lombard, Niva Bupa, and Vidal Health for cashless hospitalization.

Do you offer EMI options for surgery?

Yes, we have tied up with finance partners like Bajaj Finserv to offer 0% Interest EMI options for eligible patients. Please ask our reception desk for details.

What documents do I need for a claim?

You need your Insurance Policy Card, Govt ID Proof (Aadhar/PAN), previous consultation papers, and 2 passport-sized photos. Corporate employees also need their Employee ID.

What if my insurance claim is rejected?

If cashless is denied, you can pay the bill and we will provide all necessary documents (Discharge Summary, Bills, Reports) for you to file a reimbursement claim later.

Post-Surgery Recovery

When can I return to work?

For laser surgeries, recovery is quick. Desk jobs can be resumed in 3-4 days. Heavy lifting and strenuous exercise should be avoided for 3-4 weeks.

Will I go home with a urine bag (catheter)?

For Kidney Stone (RIRS), usually no catheter is needed. For Prostate (HoLEP), a catheter is kept for 1-2 days and typically removed before discharge.

Are there dietary restrictions after surgery?

We recommend a high fluid intake (3-4 liters/day). For stone patients, specific restrictions (like low salt, limited oxalate) will be advised based on your stone analysis report.
